You can also of course go to their store and pick up a paper job application if for some reason you are having trouble filling out the online version of the application or merely would rather show yourself in person.
On the job application, you will be asked a number of different things. Some of the questions will include your operating system experience as well as which genres of game you are mainly familiar with. What they are looking for is whether you are familiar with Microsoft Windows, though it’s anyone’s speculation as to how long that question will in fact stay on the job application considering the momentum at which PC gaming is in fact declining. If you don’t believe that then go look at the PC game shelf in the store.
Though one might think that video gaming linked careers have declined in our poor economy, but the exact opposite has been happening. Because of the lack of jobs and employment opportunities, folks in fact possess more time to waste playing those video games, so the sales in the video game industry have really been way up. I pritty much spend all my free time and most of my day even when im at work playing games. I love finding bugs and glitches thinking of ways to not only improve but to perfect games. My dream is to one day become a game designer and if posible make a game to rival any other out there. I dont know why but even when i sleep I think of ways to perfect the games i play. I want to make a liveing testing for the time being and when I get the money to go to ITT start designing my own reality (a.k.a. games). I dont know where to start but i know there is no end when I do. If anyone knows where to get a job working as a game tester it would be a dream come true. I play any game I put my hands on and within moments always seem to master them. To me no game has an end because even if you have everything in the game there is still more to do. my family calls it an obsesion, I just tell them this reality sucks and the game world is a dream come true. I dont know if anyone will every reply or read this but if you do it would be greatly apreciated. Im currently working in a call center 12 hours a day makeing min wage. I hate this dead end job and wish I could put my foot in the door for the gameing indestry and not only change the gameing world but create one like no other. I love computers and programing and every type of game you can imagine so if you know any way to get a job working as a game designer please reply and save me from this sweatshop of a job I am currently forced to deal with every day. Thank you.

I spend spend alot of my free time playing games.I have an Xbox 360 and love to play it. I play a wide variety of games such as racing, first person shooters, role playing, strategy, third person shooters, action adventures, and sports. My two favorite games to play would have to be Madden football and The Elder Scrolls. I have basic math knowledge. I love to play games;I could sit there for hours on a college football game and play Dynasty mode and taking the worst team Western Kentucky and making them the best. And on the elder scrolls I could spend up to 8 hours at a time playing. When I play games and when I’m in the middle of it think why didn’t they do this or that and all ways thinking of things should add to a game like on the elder scrolls they make it to where you can do quests with other people online and share things or give things to people to help them out.

Im 18 years old. Ive been playing video games as long as i can remember. I started with sega golf. I used to have the sega channel when i was 5 and i was practically a game tester back then. I always played the free weekly games (sonic pinball, earthworm jim, tmnt, ect) then discuss the faults and pluses to each game with my dad. I was instantly addicted. Then i started playing cpu games like diablo. I continued playing ps games but i was always more of a comp gamer. I used to play cevo tournaments for counterstrike and dota. I love gaming and im very observant. I would love a shot playing games for a living. Its so hard to get a job in this market and i would happily do this forever

Jeez, you guys are commenting as if telling your life story about video games here will get you a job in the video game world. A) If you want a job at gamestop, go get an app and fill it out. B)Stop commenting here like it’s your ticket to a good career if you spout enough nonsense about glitch hunting. C) Most of you need to learn proper english and grammar, or else you will be working at McDonalds for a very long time. And D)If you want to be a game tester, go learn basic concepts of design, programming, and math, then hone your skills, come up with a portfolio of work, both in design concepts, video, and even a little bit of playable game programming, before going to a large videogame company.
